EARLY YEARS.

He was 12 years old when he started to get an understanding of aperture, and light. This was with his first rangefinder camera. At age 15, he received a Canon AE-1 as a birthday present. This was the same camera that he used to photograph the first wedding he documented. To the present day, this camera is functional and one of his treasured possessions.

His early travels to many parts of the Philippines and around the world has helped in his visual growth. His ideology then was, "...with a camera and lots of film, I can take home anything I want, even the Golden Gate bridge."

EDUCATION & OTHER WORK.

He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology from the University of Sto. Tomas. Then, it was logical to try and pursue a degree in Doctor of Medicine.

While a second year medical student, he had to work part time as an Assistant Administrator of their family owned hospital. His tasks were in the areas of accounting, human resources, medical professional relations and marketing.

As the hospital was in transition, organizational restructuring was required. He then accepted the role of Chief Executive Officer/Hospital Administrator. During his management he introduced Total Quality Management (TQM), Continuing Medical & Para-Medical Education, Patient First Program, and the hospital's most extensive charitable service that extended to two cities.

PHOTOGRAPHY CAREER.

There were accomplishments but no self-fulfillment. This is when he gave up his career in the Health Care Business and started to pursue his passion for photography and the arts. He started doing weddings for friends in 1998. Eventually, in 1999, it progressed into a business and with his wife, Cathy Bondoc , they built H-Photography. They first specialized in wedding photojournalism until late 2000 when more corporate and advertising clients came their way.

He has joined organizations like the Philippine Art Educators Association (PAEA), Wedding and Portrait Photographers International (WPPI) and International Association of WebMasters and Designers (IAWMD). He has gained awards and recognition from Fotosurf of the Netherlands (Winning Photo February 1999), The Millenium Project of 360 Ventures of Texas, USA , The Golden Web Awards, The Philippine Annual Report Competition (Best Annual Report 2005), and The Philippine Advertising Board (Silver Winner Araw Values Awards 2006).
